Still struggling with our puppy, I rang yet another dog/people trainer/person thingy yesterday and instantly I felt comfortable speaking with her. She showed a great deal of empathy and understanding of our situation; an intelligent, determined and dominant dog who runs rings around us at times.
I did feel like I already knew her as I have been following her on facebook for sometime. It is funny that social media connections, which for me are not connections with me the person, but more connections with my ideas ( I feel a great deal of ambivalence towards facebook), create such strong recognition and comfort with someone when you do actually encounter them in a more personal connection.
